Candies

Candies are 7 Crock Pot recipes prepared using Candy Wrappers as the main ingredient, an item crafted and recycled by Wirlywings. These dishes can only be fed to players' followers regardless of their diet as long they are capable of eating. Each Candy type offers a special buff that last for 2 days (or 30sec for the Fruity Candies). Wrapper Bits are returned to the feeder after use.

The Fruity Candies effect last significantly less longer to apply a quick and powerful healing over time. Followers that eat the candy will regenerate 8HP every second, for up to 240 by the end.

Minty Candies create or improve the sanity auras of followers for a powerful +10/min. This aura is effective over the whole screen and doesn't fade with the distance, instead, the bonus aura strength wears off with time, being 75% after 4 minutes, 50% after a day, etc...

Followers that eat Spicy Candies will not be able to fall asleep or completely freeze for the duration of the buff.

The Cacti Candies grants thorn damages to followers that eat them after getting attacked, the effect works similarly to the Bramble Husk made by Wormwood for the same 22.6 AOE damage but with a cooldown of only 2 seconds.

The burst of thorns can hit anybody around, including other followers and the player too unless they also ingested Cacti Candies (being granted an immunity to all thorn damages), or wear Bramble Husks.

Any follower under the effect of Oblivious Candies will ignore all creatures that they would normally attack and does the same for creatures that would normally attack the follower.

The effects however does not prevent players from attacking the affected followers or AOE damages. When attacked by such means, the Oblivious Candies effect immediately wears off.

Eating Enlightening Fudges allows follower to see Shadow Creatures by making them insane for the duration of the buff.

Mobs that would normally attack hostile creature on sight such as Pigs will immediately attack them, other more neutral followers like Rock Lobsters will only attack if the player is attacked of targets the shadow.

The Black Hole Bonbon is a very special candy that does not give any buff to the followers that eat it. When ingested, the wrapper of the candy will wrap up the follower, transforming it into a Friend in a Candy which can be carried and unwrapped whenever desired to get the follower back keeping all same properties.

The Friend in a Candy will only follow the player that unwraps if it is the same character that first wrapped it.

Since only one Black Hole Bonbon is produced in the Crock Pot, unwrapping the follower gives back all 3 Wrapper Bits required to make the whole Candy Wrappers back.

Unique followers such as the Dayliling Bud or Critters will not accept Black Hole Bonbons.

Nasty Candies can be fed to followers to make them go away when eaten. This is useful to avoid waiting for their follower to deplete, or hit them, especially as Wirlywings as they will follow her indefinitely if waved at and will cause sanity loss when attacking allies.

Tips

• Candies can be carried within the Lunch Box as Wirlywings which is especially useful due to its smart dispensing to quickly buff each follower once per candy type.
• While Candy Wrappers are made by Wirlywings, other characters can cook and use them for any type of followers and get the Wrapper Bits back for recycling.
  • This could be exploited as Webber with his spiders.
  • But not as Wendy with Abigail as she cannot eat anything.
• Mobs cannot eat candies unless they follow a player and are fed by hand, making them safe on the floor.

Trivia

• At very low health, followers may actually be killed by Candies that remove 3HP.
• While Candy Wrappers recipes have very high priority, it is still possible to make other Crock Pot recipes like the Milkmade Hat with wrappers as an ingredient as they also have high priority and allow inedible items.
