The Broken Heart is a craftable armor item. It requires 1 Geode, 1 Friendship Necklace and 4 Nightmare Fuel to be crafted. Players only have access to this craft while being assisted by the Dayliling Bud if she previously learned its Bloomprint.

To use the Broken Heart efficiently, the player must have at least one follower. If the player is under 90% of their max health, the Broken Heart will split and take away some health from all followers to heal up to 30HP, loosing 4.8% durability in the process. While healthy, the Broken Heart passively heals followers for 8HP every 8 seconds. Both of the effects trigger every 5 seconds. The armor also provides a passive +3.33/min sanity regeneration.

Cherry Gems and Butterdragons can be used to refuel the Broken Heart for 19% and 5% respectively and doesn't break at 0% but its healing properties will be disabled.

Tips

• With or without followers, the Broken Heart can be used as an unbreakable armor since its fuel is only used for healing. The damage absorption of the armor is low but can be paired with other armors to make them last longer.
