Ivyscus are plants that infect and live on the Beehives in the Cherry Forest. Infected Beehives will spawn Hibeescus instead of Bees and Killer Bees.
A player can choose to infect their own Bee Boxes with the Ivyscus. If a Bee land on a flower from the Cherry Forest, it turn itself into a Hibeescus and his Bee Box grows a Ivyscus. Player can choose to harvest Bloomy Honey from the vines or Honey from the Bee Box like usual.
The Ivyscus can be removed with a Razor, giving one Bloomy Honey (or more depending of the amount of Honey in the Bee Box) and ejecting any Hibeescus left in the hive. All the Hibeescus from this Beehive/Bee Box are now considered homeless, and Bees will respawn again.
Trivia
- Destroying an infected Beehive will drop Bloomy Honey instead of Honey.
- The Crabby Hermit's Bee Box can be infected with Ivyscus.
