The Royal and Parakeet Feathers are items obtained from the Birds of the Cherry Forest, respectively the Chaffinch and the Catbird. Similar to Canaries, killing these birds is an unreliable way to get their feathers due to the rather low drop chance. Each have a different method to obtain them more consistently. They are used in some Bloomprint crafts and have their own Quill Float recipes.

The Royal Feathers are required for important Bloomprint crafts: the Royal Mantle and the Royal Dart. They can be found easily while chopping tall Cherry Trees during day or dusk on the surface only. Each tree has 30% to host between 1 to 5 Finches inside them, and each Chaffinch has 10% to leave a Royal Feather behind, the feather will glide in the air, slowly reaching the floor. They can be picked up by hand or caught mid-air with a Bug Net when in range, this can be useful to avoid loosing the feather if it lands on water.

The Parakeet Feathers are required to craft Mimic Darts. The feather can be guaranteed to drop when a Catcoon attack a Catbird. Since Catcoons might not always manage to hit birds, taming Catcoons and putting to sleep or freeze the birds can speed up this process. They might also be found from time to time inside of the Hollow Stumps if the action happened off-screen.
